Your journey to Solar in 6 easy steps
First chat
When you first contact us, we’ll chat with you about what you’re after. You might know exactly what you want or you’re looking for comparison quotes, or you need advice. We’re happy to work through it all with you.
No pushy sales techniques - we’re just here to get you set up with the best solar system to suit your lifestyle and needs.
2. Consultation & Site Survey
After our initial chat we’ll book a time with you, online, over the phone, or in your home, to go into your requirements in more detail. We can often give you a definite quote immediately.
Please note: we’ll always need to do a site survey to confirm your quote, but this rarely changes the final price.
3. Detailed quote sent out
After the survey, we’ll send you a full quote, detailing cost, annual power generation, SEG money earned, system payback time, product info and warranties. Everything you need to know at a glance.
Important: You can only receive SEG payments from your supplier if your solar installer is MCS certified. We are. Beware of ultra-low quotes - they could be a false economy.
4. Contracts Signed, Installation Date Booked, 1st & 2nd Deposits Paid
Once you’re happy with the quote, we’ll send out contracts - all MCS approved. Once you send them back signed and with your 25% deposit, we’ll email confirming details and install date.
We then contact the National Grid to gain all permissions for your installation. 2 days before your installation, we send a reminder and request a 2nd deposit of 35%
5. Scaffolding & Installation
Scaffolding goes up in the week before your install. No need for you to book time off work for this, or the solar installation. We’re happy to work with you in the house or arrange to pick up keys. Whatever suits you. Installation normally takes 1-2 days with little disruption to your daily life.
While the scaffolding is up, some customers use the opportunity to do other essential work like clearing the gutters. We’re fine with this. Just let us know.
6. Completion & Set Up
Scaffolding comes down the same week, occasionally the week after. On payment of the final 40% balance, we register your system with MCS, notify the National Grid and initiate all manufacturer warranties. You’ll then receive a handover pack which contains your MCS certificate - essential to claim your SEG payments. We’ll run through the system with you, setting up the apps so you know how to use them. One week later, we’ll email to check everything’s OK. One month later, we’ll follow up to see how much you’re saving!
